Dear beta testers,

As you know, we’ve cancelled the limitation on the number of tracking records for the public beta period. Now you can track as many your arrivals as you want (actually, there’s 20 tracking records limitation, but we think it’s quite enough even for frequent flyers).

We also decided to extend the public beta testing of ArrivedOK until 30 August 2009. Please don’t forget that 100 beta testers, who submit us most valuable from our point of view feedback will win 1-year free ArrivedOK subscription!

And one more thing: the long-awaited ArrivedOK US is coming soon!

Whom to Track:
Oneself or Someone Else?

I am one of the testers of ArrivedOK, my name is Ivan Komarov. First of all, I LOVE THE SERVICE! Because it makes it easy for me to track my wife who is often traveling. (This post should be called: who is tracking who? Or, better yet: are you tracking with me? Or, track off! Or, to track or not to track — that is the question!)

Moreover, my other friends in the NGO sector (or high paying private sector) often travel to “orange” (or some other “dangerous” color) alert places aka places not to go to on vacation.

It is nice to know that they have landed — especially if this happens at night or if it does not require much work from my people. I ask them to allow me and then I track them thus they don’t have to do anything, I do everything for them.

And I have started to wonder, how do people use ArrivedOK — to inform others of their whereabouts, or to track someone else by starting an account for them, obtaining their authentication code, and making records instead of them?

I do everything instead of my wife, and often when she is on the way to the airport. It is hard to get the code in time, and I have talked about it to the authors of the service.

10 days ago we launched ArrivedOK Facebook application. It automatically updates your Facebook status with your arrival alert at the moment you turn on your mobile phone after your landing.
